WINTER CAMP

JUNE 8 - 11 2018

Hundreds of young people from all over NSW come together at Winter Camp, all from different walks of life, all in need of Jesus. At Camp we seek to build a temporary community, centred around the Gospel in order to introduce young people to Jesus, challenge them with His claim on their lives and grow them in Him, equipping them to put their faith into action.

5&6

We all know what it feels like to be on a team, or to want to be in one. A sporting team, a school team, a chess team. These are all great, but what matters most is being on God’s team. God’s team is no ordinary team, it is the best team, the greatest team, the team that lasts forever. It is the team that has the best captain and coach, Jesus! Jesus has shown us that he is the most powerful and most caring captain and coach the world has ever seen. The great news is that anyone and everyone can be on this team by accepting and trusting Jesus. If we are on God’s team, we get to be on the team that snatches victory from the jaws of defeat and goes on to claim the best prize. No, it is not a trophy or an oversized cup, it is so much better than that! It is a prize that lasts forever.

Junior (Yr 7 - 10)

At Junior Winter Camp we will focus on some of the sayings of Jesus that we find difficult to accept. Jesus makes radical claims about himself and calls us to radical commitment to him. We will be challenged to evaluate our view of Jesus and to follow him whatever the cost.

Young Adults (Yr 11+)

In Exodus God reveals his power and character through the salvation of his people Israel and the judgement of the Egyptians.  Whenever the Israelites or Egyptians don’t know or understand God they make big mistakes.  As God reveals himself he exposes the foolishness of their mistakes and the goodness of trusting and following him. God has revealed himself in an even more amazing way through his Son, Jesus Christ.  In him we see the clearest picture of God’s power and character.  This should make us confident and happy to trust and follow him.

Kids Program
(0 - Year 4)

PYNSW values the time and commitment that parents show by serving on Camps. For this reason PYNSW runs a Kids Program, for the children of leaders. Children from birth to Year 4 are catered for during Winter Camp 2018. You must register your children for the Kids Program by filling in the Kids Program Rego Form & return it to the PYNSW Office by Training Day.

There are two different registration forms - one for 5/6 camp and the other for Junior Camp and Young Adults.

Any registration received after 21/5/18 will incur a late fee of $50. No registrations will be received after 28/5/18. PYNSW subsidises Winter Camp to make it more affordable. The actual cost of camp (not including admin & staff) is $345. If you are able and would like to contribute to cover subsidies and other costs it would be greatly appreciated. Further subsidies are also available on request.
